ESP32-C6 SuperMini: Wi-Fi 6, Zigbee & Thread in a compact footprint

The ESP32-C6 SuperMini combines next-generation wireless connectivity with the familiar Arduino workflow. It's supported directly in the Arduino IDE (via Board Manager / Espressif package), and for more flexibility it also works with ESP-IDF, PlatformIO and MicroPython. It's among the first compact boards with Wi-Fi 6 and Zigbee 3.0 / Thread (Matter-ready) — ideal for smart home and future interoperability projects.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Zigbee/Thread bring to this board?
It enables direct participation in smart home networks (e.g. Zigbee mesh, Matter over Thread) without a separate radio module — ideal for custom smart devices.

Do I need an external programmer?
No — the ESP32-C6 SuperMini connects directly via USB-C, using the chip's native USB Serial/JTAG controller.

What's the difference from the ESP32-C6-DevKitC-1 N8?
Same chip (ESP32-C6) in two form factors: the SuperMini is more compact with fewer broken-out GPIO, while the DevKitC-1 N8 offers a full pinout and more Flash (8MB) for more demanding development.
