The ELECFREAKS Smart Car Chassis is a comprehensive, sturdy base kit specifically designed to accommodate the Motor:bit expansion board (for micro:bit). This practical kit provides all the essential mechanical components—from the main body and wheels to the motors and battery holder—allowing you to easily transform your electronic circuit into a fully functional, moving robotic vehicle. It is the perfect starting point to create obstacle-avoiding, line-tracking, or remote-controlled robots!

 

The Ideal Mechanical Foundation for Your Robot

Put complex mechanics aside and focus on programming! The Smart Car Chassis provides a stable, pre-designed platform. It has been manufactured with precise mounting holes to directly attach the Motor:bit board. By providing two powerful DC motors, durable wheels, and an ergonomic battery case, it makes the transition from code (MakeCode / Python) to physical movement quick and completely successful.

  • Custom Design: Features pre-drilled holes that perfectly align with the Motor:bit board's mounting points.
  • Motors: Includes 2x high-quality DC geared motors for steady movement and reliable torque.
  • Wheels: 2x durable driving wheels with rubber tires for good grip, plus one omnidirectional caster wheel for flexible turns.
  • Power Supply: Includes a battery holder for 4x AA batteries, ensuring sufficient power for both the motors and the control board.
  • Expandability: The chassis design allows for easy addition of sensors (like ultrasonic or line-tracking) around the perimeter of the vehicle.
