Square Push-On Switch 12mm 3A/125V Red
Square momentary push-button switch for panel mounting in a Ø12mm hole, with OFF-(ON) action: the circuit closes only while the button is held down. Rated 3A / 125V AC, with solder leads, black body and red square actuator.
Rated for 50,000 electrical and 100,000 mechanical cycles, it suits school electricity projects, control panels, models and Arduino-based circuits.
Square Push-On Switch 12mm 3A/125V Red
A push-on (momentary) switch is the simplest way to give a circuit a manual command: pressing the button closes the contact, releasing it opens the contact again. This model has an OFF-(ON) switching action, a square red actuator on a black body and fits a Ø12mm panel hole, so it sits neatly on the front of an enclosure, a control panel or a project box. Its solder leads accept wires or a direct connection to a board.
Key features
- Momentary OFF-(ON) action – the contact closes only while the button is held down
- 2 positions, 1 stable – normally open contact that returns by itself
- 3A / 125V AC rating with maximum contact resistance of 20mΩ
- Ø12mm mounting hole for panel mounting
- Solder leads for wires or PCB connection
- 50,000 electrical / 100,000 mechanical cycles of service life
- Operating temperature -25…70°C
Where it is used
- School and college electricity and technology projects – doorbells, alarms, simple lighting circuits
- Start, reset and test buttons in Arduino, ESP32 and Raspberry Pi circuits at low DC voltages
- Control panels and front panels of small devices, models and prototypes
- Replacing a worn or damaged button on existing equipment

Frequently asked questions
Does the button stay pressed in?
No. Its action is OFF-(ON): the contact closes while you hold it and opens the moment you let go. For a button that stays on, choose the Push Button ON-OFF.
Can I use it with Arduino at 5V?
Yes. Signal currents at 5V DC are far below the 3A / 125V AC rating. Wire it with a pull-down resistor or use INPUT_PULLUP on the pin.
What hole do I need to drill?
A Ø12mm hole on a panel a few millimetres thick; the switch is fastened from behind with its mounting nut.
