Wireless Monitoring with IOT:bit & SmartIoT Space

Manage your feeder from anywhere! The heart of the kit is the IOT:bit expansion board, featuring built-in Wi-Fi (ESP8266). This allows the micro:bit to wirelessly send data to the FREE educational platform smartiot.space, so you can see in real-time when and how many times your pet has eaten!

Motion Detection & Automated Feeding

The package includes precision sensors from the Octopus series. Use the PIR Motion Sensor to detect your pet as it approaches. Once motion is detected, your code instructs the 180° Servo Motor to open the food lid, while you can simultaneously display a message on the OLED Screen or measure the remaining food with the Ultrasonic Sensor (Sonar)!

Designed for the Wooden House Model

For the most complete building experience, the electronic components of this kit are designed to fit perfectly into the Smart Home Material Pack (the wooden house model, sold separately). By combining them, students "build" a real, physical diorama of a smart home with an integrated pet feeder!
