This 2mm balsa wood sheet measures 10x100cm and is model-grade AAA, sanded, clean and bright. Balsa is one of the lightest woods available, which makes it easy to cut, shape and glue. At 2mm the sheet is still light and easy to cut, but stiffer than the 1mm, which suits ribs and light frames.

A sharp hobby knife with a fresh blade and a metal ruler works well. Make two or three light passes rather than forcing one cut, and take extra care when cutting across the grain.
