Using the correct additive elevates your technique when creating art on textiles and garments. This dedicated fabric medium ensures your artwork moves naturally with the fabric fibers, effectively preventing the wear, cracking, and flaking that occur when using standard acrylics.

Elasticity & Adhesion: Strengthens the paint's binder, making it fully flexible so it moves with the fabric (clothes, shoes, cushions) without cracking.
Viscosity & Flow Properties: Slightly lowers the viscosity of the acrylic, allowing the paint to penetrate deep into the fibers without losing its covering power or intensity.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does it need ironing to prevent fading in the washing machine?
A: Yes, once the artwork is completely dry (ideally leave for 24 hours), it requires Heat Setting. Place a clean cloth over the design and iron (at 100 ºC / 212ºF, no steam) for about 3-5 minutes. Afterward, the garment can be washed inside-out on a gentle, cold cycle.

Q: Why shouldn't I just thin my acrylic with water or apply it directly to the fabric?
A: Neat acrylic dries hard and creates a stiff crust that flakes off with the first movement of the fabric. At the same time, too much water "breaks" the acrylic binder, causing the color to wash out. This Medium adds the necessary elasticity while keeping the pigment structure perfectly intact.
