The 74LS242 is a quad bidirectional bus transceiver with inverting and 3-State outputs. Operating Current: Typical 30mA (Icc). Operating Temperature Range: Commercial range 0°C to +70°C. Speed / Delay: Typical propagation delay (input to output) 15ns. Inputs / Outputs: 4 inputs/outputs (A-side), 4 inputs/outputs (B-side), Direction Control, Enable. Functions: Allows bidirectional data communication with direction control. Useful for data transfer between devices or buses.
