Picaxe-18M2 - High Power Board

The PICAXE 18M2 High Power Project Board (part no. CHI035) is an 18-pin microcontroller project board designed to provide high power output for your applications. It features 4 FET buffered digital outputs, capable of driving higher current loads. With the addition of an L293D motor driver chip (part ICO030, not supplied), it provides two additional reversible motor outputs.

This board is suitable for use with the PICAXE-18M2 microcontroller (not supplied) or any other 18-pin PICAXE. It can be used with any software application that supports PICAXE hardware.

Features:

• PICAXE 18M2 microcontroller compatible.
• Soldered pads for expansion.
• Supports up to 5 inputs.
• 8 digital on/off outputs rated at 800mA (each).
• Can have an L293D motor driver IC added to control up to 2 reversible motors. (Note: The 4 FET outputs of the board are independent and offer high power, while the L293D provides 2 reversible motor outputs rated at 1A each).
